Full-time Therapeutic Recreation Specialist on staff as the unit manager to provide specialized Alzheimer’s, dementia and activity training to staff; including supervision of activity programming and daily routine for the unit. Care of individuals in the first to middle stages of Alzheimer’s Dementia and other memory related disorders.

• Nurses on-site 7AM-11PM, nurse on-call 11PM-7AM.
• 24 hour on-site staff to provide care and respond to emergencies.
• Coordination of services with residents, family and healthcare providers.
• Monthly family meeting with unit manager.
• Activity Assessment completed by staff to personalize activity programming.
• Inviting secured community areas including sunroom, living room, kitchen, private dining room.
• Therapeutic groups and individual programming to meet the needs of each resident spiritually, physically, and intellectually.
• Three meals served daily in a private dining room, escorted by caregivers.

Individualized service care plan focusing on resident abilities and
needs such as:

• Daily oral care including dentures and partials.
• Assistance with Showers two or more times a week.
• Assistance with toileting every two hours/as needed.
• Assistance with incontinent products, disposal, changing.
• Assistance with appropriate daily dressing.
• Assistance with daily hygiene.
• Intake of resident meals monitored.
• Assistance with daily bed making and tidying of the room.
• Daily trash removal.
• Weekly housekeeping.
• Personal laundry service.
• Basic cable TV.
• Individually controlled heating and cooling.
• Local phone service.
• Medication administration by a licensed nurse.
• Memory enhancement activities.
• Socialization activities including happy hour, tea parties, reminiscent groups.
• Daily exercise groups, such as Tai Chi, chair exercises, walks and active games.
• Individualized and/or group activity programming including cooking/baking, games, and familiar past-time activities.
• Private apartment with personal furniture and belongings to provide a familiar, comfortable living atmosphere.
• Supervised outdoor activities including nature walks, and outdoor games.
• Supervised off unit activities such as, happy hour, entertainment, sing-a-long and all spiritual services.
• Supervised community outings, with Inn bus as transportation

We will hold the apartment of your choice for a $100 refundable deposit that will be applied to the processing fee. A one-time processing and evaluation fee of $500 is required.
